Here comes the excitement of the play-off, today is the night of a true Ice-Hockey show when 8 best teams of the World
will square off in the battle for the medals. Very interesting pairs, with only one match that looks special – Canada-Russia. Thats the only disappointment of this year tournament, neither of this teams deserves to stay without any medals and if even Russia win tonight, I will still feel sorry for Canadians. I will be supporting Russian team, like I always do, but thats’ doesn’t affect my way of predictions.
USA – Switzerland
Thats the only match, where I can’t find any option to bet. USA will progress in this match, but I can’t quite say will they do it with handicap or not. I even can’t quite say with 100% confidence, whether they will Read more…
So, the recreational hockey tournament is over and it is now do or die phase, with no mistakes available. And I would like to share my thoughts on play off structure and possible chances to progress to the next phase. My prediction of the final you already saw in the title, I don’t pretend thats gonna happen in real life, but that’s the way I see this teams. I will start the overall analysis of the teams who are considered by bookies and by me also as a main contenders to take gold medals. I will surprise you and will start with the team that I think has fewer chances to get gold, despite being favorites in bookies opinion.
Canada.
Odds @ Betfair: 3.10
Canada got themselves into troubles, losing to USA. Now to take gold medals they have to win almost all the favorites of this tournament, both Russia and Sweden are on they way to the final. They have great team with great individuals, but I can’t quite see a team from this stars. They looked too confident in the match against USA and they paid the prise for that. Now they are at risk of not getting even a medal at home Olympics – thats gonna be an absolute disaster for them and I guess they are completely confident that they gonna progress in the match against Red Machine… Read more…
This weekend decided to make a brake in live trading on Twitter, cause of many factors. I find it hard to make a moves and post at Twitter at the same time, this was the reason why I’ve posted my moves too late and, most importantly, I made several mistakes, which inevitable led to the loss of money. Thats why I decided to dedicate this weekend to trading, mostly with experiments. For that purpose I deposited 100 Euros, the maximum amount I can risk for the experiment betting. During the weekend made trades on 15 matches, risking no more then 20 euro on the event and all of them on overs/unders. I will post my analysis later this week (perhaps I will make analysis in the evening, no interesting trades on monday). The results of my experiments, with all of mistakes I’ve made, were impressive Read more…
Unfortunately while I got to my PC, the value on this bet is gone. In the morning when I’ve put this bet, it was 2.0 @
Betfair. But still 1.91 is good enough for the pick that looks pretty much with a great chance of winning. I’ve been involved in the match Azarenka – Zvonareva, betting on Vera also and she was unlucky to lose there, cause in the 2nd set her power went low and feeling the affects of post-surgery sindrom she lost 2nd set and 3rd one pretty easily. But now Zvonareva is in better shape and in her warm-up tournament in Pattaya she showed one of her best tennis ever (at least from what I’ve seen).
Here in Dubai Vera continued her fabulous form, by destroying Flipkens and Jankovic in 2 sets. And with all recent struggles for Azarenka, I expect Zvonareva to get revenge for the Australian Open result. Vera wasn’t 100% ready for that match, but now she is, so I will take her for a win with an average stakes.
Here is my pick at Blogabet.
Well, I had dedicated 3 bets to the Women Ice-hockey games and while searching for information about some of the teams, found a lot of factors that put in doubt women ice-hockey tournament as an Olympic one. How can competitive sport, in preliminary round end with a scoreline 82:0? How can a game in the final tournament end up 18:0? I know that the issues of equal rights for women and men are very important, but don’t you think sometimes they get to far really. Ice-hockey, weightlifting, boxing thats the sports that should do men, cause they are tough by its standards. And personally the picture of woman pulling some 200 kilos looks abnormal for me. More less the same I can say about ice-hockey.
But here is the funny side about it. While analyzing how strong were Slovakia team and how did they manage to qualify for the Olympics, I have found out that they played qualification tournament here in Latvia and there was one particular game that maybe wonder why women Ice-hockey became Olympic sport, when there is only 2 teams competing for gold. So its Slovakia Bulgaria game, which finished 82:0. Watch and enjoy:
Slovakia – Bulgaria 82:0 part-1
Slovakia – Bulgaria 82:0 part-2 (where they put the goalie out of goal for a sixth player, at scoreline 77:0)
Slovakia – Bulgaria 82:0 part-3 (awful part here, 2 women had a fight in that match and one receiving heavy injury)
Unfortunately Blogabet service is down once again, as is my blog there, so I have to post it double pick here. I won’t remember the exact facts, that I’ve described in my post there, but I will try my best to do my best.
This isn’t Milan of Carlo Ancelotti, so I don’t expect some tactical defense from the italian side. Leonardo’s Milan is
tending to play attacking football. Ronaldinho, Beckham (although I think he won’t be in starting line-up), Pato, Huntelaar are all associated with attack. Even such player as Rooney likes defending more then this guys. So, first of all I expect to see an attacking Milan, with a lot of players with a point to prove. Ronaldinho, that he is still one of the most extraordinary players in business. Huntelaar, that he is a class forward not only in Eredivisie. And of course, if he starts, Beckham will be highly motivated to show his best crosses that is still one of the best.

Tipsters blog service is back working!
Quick update on our blogabet service, seems like they have some kind of technical problems and my blog there is
also temporary unavailable. Thats the bad news… But the good news are that I will keep on sharing my thoughts on the sporting events here anyway, as well as my betting experiments will keep on going. By the way sorry with a delay on the results of my last trades, have been ill for 4 days so my mind wasn’t ready to make some conclusions on it. I need some time to analyze all the trades, point out the mistakes. Overall those 2 matches were rather difficult, cause there was few goals there, so its kind of new experience for me and my system.
My Blog’s this week’s schedule:
- Analysis of my Betfair trading experiments
- WTA and ATP thoughts, outright picks and betfair strategies (starting from at least 2nd round)
- Olympic hockey tournament previews
So keep in touch! If you would like to receive a notification of my recent posts, you can sign up for the RSS feeds. Twitter and email zenitushka.tipster@gmail.com are also available.
Well, its always to go against top seeds, top russians and great players overall. But in both finals I smell a surprise victory, especially in Paris. So here are my thoughts on finals.
WTA Pattaya (Thailand)
t is hard to bet against top seed of the tournament, the defending champion and quite simply the best player overall in the field. But I will try another 2 points betting against her. Tamarine showed some good tennis here and if she will be able to show more consistency then Shvedova did today, then she surely can get a win over highly fancied russian.
Factor 1. Tamarine is not very young and she has to chose during the season when to top her form and as I’ve said in previous pick, where can be the best place to do so, then at home, in Thailand Open tournament.
Factor 2. Tamarine had quite easy semifinal, finishing the job just under the hour mark. Whether Zvonareva had to battle through 3 setter, with a long and power rallies. In the Thai heat thats a big factor.
Verdict: I will have 2 bets here – Read more…
At last found some time to force myself into boring, but demanded task. It was for a while I wanted to calculate my results on the different kind of sport. It is always got to be done, just to see how would I do, if I wouldn’t get in some doubtful leagues (like Seria A or Russian Premier league). I will start with the sport that has a break now due to Olympic games, its KHL hockey league.

By the way I’ve calculated also statistics on my results, if I would staked even stakes on each and every bet, instead of choosing the level of stake. The results surprised me, I would have had 125,45 ROI for 2 seasons. But thats a big IF and I will probably keep on choosing the level of stake I want to risk, so its going to be up to you how much you personally want to risk on those picks. Everybody has its own comfort level in terms of choosing the stake amount!
I will start with the match that starts first of mine picks. Well, this match will be delayed due to rains in Brasil so you will
have enough time to see my thoughts on that. That match is Fabio Fognini against Marcel Granollers. First initial thought on that match from me was taking Fabio Fognini as a winner in this pair. He impressed me several time last year, you might guessed already that it was in Stuttgart, where he had fantastic game and defeated Davydenko in 3 sets. When this guy is in good mood, he can beat top players on clay and his type of game allows him that. He has very quick feet, which is quite essential playing on dirt. But the point is, just why I changed my mind about picking him outright – how can we guess that this player is in good mood?
Fabio plays tough player, who serves hard and looks more like a hardcourt player then clay court specialist. So even if he will start losing this match, I dont expect that its gonna be easy one win for Fabio. I expect something like they’ve had in last meeting – 7:6 7:5. 3 sets are also not out of question. So my pick is Over 22,5 games. Odds 1.90, bookmaker: 188 bet, Stake 5/10.
As a tournaments are now into deep and I prefer picking winning bets in late rounds, so I have some more Read more…
