Europa league value bet: Hapoel to beat Vaduz again

August 4, 2011 Leave a comment

Just a short note on today’s fixture #1 for me. Hapoel Tel Aviv is a much better team then Vaduz and even if they decide to send a 2nd choice team in Liechtenstein, I still think they will win convincingly. Liechtenstein club is a no match to Israeli. 1st match ended 4:0, 2nd one I think will also end with Hapoel’s win. So the great value is in -1 asian handicap bet which is available at Bet365 and some other bookies, including I guess Pinnacle. For those who prefer more safer bet, draw no bet or asian handicap (0) also represent value. Read more…

World Cup. Day 11. Will Spain answer their critics in match against Honduras?

June 21, 2010 1 comment

This was one of the most shocking World Cups as far as I can remember. Low scoring matches, most of the teams don’t intend to attack, playing it safe, therefore shocking results, with England and Italy playing draw with some minor teams. European Champions Spain faced other problem in first game against Switzerland, they played nicely, but simply couldn’t break 10 men defense. In fact I think that 7 Suisse players didn’t cross the midfield in that match, sitting back in defense. I understand, that if they would go out and play open football, then they would get similar result like South Korea got from Argentina. But still, I like when both team are wishing to play football, not when one team only creates and the other only destroys. That day destroyers proved to be  stronger then creators. Today I doubt that this will repeat.

So today I have chosen many options from which to chose on whom to bet. I will return to my analysis with Best Value bets (BVB), Most risky bet, Most safe bet and I will add Poor value bet. Here are all bets I have chosen from today’s 3 games. Read more…

World Cup. Day 8. Germany and England will try to avoid each other in 1/8

First big team down and actually I am glad that it was France. Domenech is really poor coach for French side and I still wonder how could he hold on to this position for so long. In 2006 it wasn’t him who brought France into World Cup final, it was the majestic Zidane, and experienced Makelele and Thuram, who completely closed Ronaldinho and Kaka in the semi-final against Brasil. So farewell, France, wish you good luck with new coach Laurent Blanc! But now let’s get back to Day 8.

Germany and England got to do everything to finish 1st in their groups. Otherwise they will be meeting each other already in the 1/8 finals stage.  Germans did what they had to do, won convincingly against Australians 4:0. But England managed to slip the victory through Green hands. Now they have to win and most likely have to win it with more then one goal advantage to secure good goal difference. In other match USA play Slovenia and football instinct tells me that USA should win, but I will probably will skip that match. Read more…

World Cup. Day 7. Arrrgh, Argentina will show how to play football

Second round is under way and the first match yesterday went according to what I’ve thought. Such quality sides as Uruguay should win such teams as South Africa, even on the home pitch of the later ones. Had a small bet on the Uruguay (-1,5) yesterday with odds 5.760 (!!!) @ Pinnacle and that was a tasty one. Today in the first match we will see the brilliance of Messi for the second time at this World Cup. All the rest matches doesn’t promise to be as exciting to watch, but still are good for a bet.

I will keep my tradition of comparing odds offers from 3 main bookmakers for me. Read more…

World Cup. Day 6. Vamos Espana, Vamos La Furia Roja!

We have seen all the teams in action and now, for the desert, we will see one of the most enjoyable to watch team in the world, Spain. Iniesta managed to cure his injury, Torres looks set to play, Fabregas is also ok… All leads to the fact that we will see the full strength Spain and that’s great. In other Round1 match we will see 2nd best in South America team Chile. How strong are they is still remains a question for me. But I do know that they have very talented players and very experienced coach Bielsa, so that’s should be enough for Honduras at least.

Now lets take a look on the today’s matches closer.  Here are my picks for today and the comparison of  3 bookmakers. One, Bwin, have brought a huge advertisement campaign here in Latvia (I guess everywhere in the world also, as they have global strategy). That’s I wanted to see how good/bad are their odds. Second one is our local latvian bookmaker Optibet , that’s for the local punters. And the 3rd one is the place where I place all my bets on this World Cup, its of course Pinnacle, best odds, great lines.

Bwin

Optibet

Pinnacle

Chile win

1.55

1.63

1.667

Spain Over >2,5 goals 1.85 2.01 2.08
Uruguay (0) 1.65 1.68 1.725

All of them doesn’t provide bonus for the sign up and all 3 have different reasons for that.

BWIN. Spends all the money on the advertisement, therefore their odds are simply ridiculous. They do provide 30 euro bonus I guess, but due to low odds, the value of  bonus disappears quite fast.

OPTIBET. They are local bookies, so they don’t have much money for bonuses. Or perhaps they don’t have it as a business strategy. Yet without bonuses they have also low odds, especially on tennis events.

PINNACLE. Don’t have any sign up bonuses simply because they don’t need them. All punters who can calculate their profit from betting, will see themselves thats odds which are sometimes 30-40% better then at other bookmakers will give you much more profit. PINNACLE and Betfair are the places for the wise punters, for true professionals.

So its up to you to choose. I have made my choice and now I have 2 accounts – one at Pinnacle and the other one at Betfair (for trading purposes). My friendly advise would be to go to Pinnacle, sign up, make a deposit and enjoy the odds.

At last I found some time to start a personal blog, so I will able to post many,  hopefully interesting stuff about betting. I will try to mix interesting posts on all kind of sports, but mostly its gonna be sports where I’m specializing as a tipster – tennis,  football,  ice-hockey.  I will post match betting previews, with more detailed information then on Blogabet. One of the main interest of this blog I believe will become experimenting with different kind of systems – live betting, perhaps arbitrage betting, etc. Here I will try to prove which system has a future to exist and which will lead you to bankruptcy.

So main categories here will be:

  • Sports events betting preview
  • Testing of the betting systems
  • Interesting facts about sports
  • Bookmakers reviews
  • Some interesting contests sponsored by bookmakers (in plans, still have to figure out how to make them pay for it :) )

Thats only for the start! I guess when I will start blogging here, I will get much more ideas.

So lets add entertainment into betting on sports! ;)
